![]() David Halladay, Sr., age 79 of Oxford, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home. He was the husband of Suzanne Jackson Halladay. Born in Florida, he was the son of the late Tom and Blanche Doran Halladay. David was a member of Union Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Solanco High School and was a farmer all his life. He was a member of the Waterloo Boys and in his free time he loved snowmobiling and driving his antique John Deere tractor. Surviving besides his wife is a son: David Halladay, Jr. of Wilmington, DE, 4 grandchildren, 3 stepsons: Brice Wonders of Oxford, Warren Wonders and Brenton Wonders both of CO, 2 brothers: Tom Halladay, Jr. of FL and Brian Halladay of NM, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing on Friday, January 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA. CDC guidelines regarding masks and social distancing will be observed. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in David’s honor to Brandywine River Valley Hospice, 121 Bell Tower Lane, Oxford, PA 19363.
