Bruce G. Groff of Conestoga died on Saturday, January 17, 2015. He was 71. Mr. Groff was born in Lancaster, a son of the late John J. and Francis Graybill Groff. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Groff worked as an engineering technician for Case New Holland for 40 years before retiring. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Union County Sportsman Club and the Octoraro Hunt Club of Centre County. Mr. Groff was also a member of the Slumbering Groundhog Lodge, White Rock. He was a strong supporter of the F.O.P. He had been married to Joan Kauffman Groff for 50 years. He is survived by his son, Ryan E., husband of Denean Groff of Strasburg; three grandsons, Austin C. Groff, Jack R. Groff, and Sam E. Groff; two sisters, Fran G. Fyffe of Newport Beach, Calif., and Margaret G. Todd of Mount Joy. Two brothers, Jack J. Groff and Dennis C. Groff, are deceased. Friends may call at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, 144 E. State St., Quarryville, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 22. Services will be held from the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Thursday with the Rev. Dr. Michael Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Quarryville Cemetery.
