Arnold R. “Arnie” Miller, 69, of Little Britain, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at his home. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Adams) Sawyer. Arnie was a graduate of Solanco High School, class of 1967. He was employed by High Steel Structures as a machine operator, retiring in 2015 with 46 years’ service. Arnie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971. For leisure, Arnie enjoyed going fishing with his brother. He was an automobile enthusiast, regularly attending car shows, going to races, and collecting model cars and memorabilia. Arnie is survived by sons, Arnold Miller, Jr. (Pete), and wife Paula, of Strasburg, and James Badger, of Lancaster; a daughter, Nichole Badger, of DE; grandchildren, Rachel Potts, Trevor Potts, and Jake Badger; sisters, Shirley Ann Asbury, and husband Gary, of FL, Myra Kay Dunwoody, and husband Glen, of VA, and Tracy J. Miller, and husband Mark, of NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Asbury, brothers, Earl Miller and Joseph Sawyer, Jr., and a financee, Alberta (Bert) Badger. A time of visitation with Arnie’s family will be held from 10 a.m. – noon on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, 227 West 4th Street, Quarryville, PA 17566.
