Mary K. Fromm, 86, formerly of Paradise, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Oak Leaf Manor North in Landisville. She was the wife of the late Paul J. Fromm who died September 6, 2019. Born in West Willow, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel H. K. and Marian B. Mitchell Shaffer. Mary was a graduate of Solanco School District and a member of Leacock Presbyterian Church in Paradise. She enjoyed working outside in the yard, decorating for the holidays, and spending time with her family. Cory M. Giberson, 34, of Ronks, entered into rest unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Stephen L. and Peggy (McCoy) Giberson of New Providence. Cory was a graduate of Solanco High and had attended Willow Street Vo-Tech. He worked as a flooring and tile installer. Cory enjoyed hunting and played fast-pitch softball in local leagues. He was also a San Francisco 49ers fan. Mary Lois (Youngman) Eckardt, 92, of Quarryville, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Born in West Collingwood, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Francis G. and Elsie (Hazelwood) Youngman. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Eckhart who passed on December 30, 2018. Mary was a graduate of West Collingswood High School. She also had secretarial training. She served faithfully as a wife, and mother of her three sons. Mary will be deeply missed by many family and friends. With hope in the Lord and his resurrection, we grieve, but not as those who have no hope. Maurice F. "Pap" Welk, age 90 of Quarryville, PA, passed away at his home on Monday, December 21, 2020. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. Stewart Welk who passed away in 1988. He was born in Lancaster, son of the late Maurice S. & Sara Graybill Welk. He was a member of Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church. He was a lifelong farmer and had also worked as a milk tester. He was known for having one of the top dairy herds in the state. He later worked as a butcher, working hand in hand with his son for over 34 years. He enjoyed baseball, football and gardening. He was known to be a very hard worker. He loved spending time with his family - they were his world. Joseph G. Miller, age 22, of 376 Goat Hill Road, Peach Bottom, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 due to a work related accident.
Born in Cochranville, he was the son of Daniel L. and Barbara S. Glick Miller with whom he resided. Joseph was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by 9 siblings: Rebecca G. wife of Amos Stoltzfus of Peach Bottom, Samuel G., Ruth G., Sarah G., Lavina G., Abner G., Hannah G., Daniel L. Jr., Mary G. all at home. Doris Ann Reed, age 90, of Gap, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at home. She was the wife of the late Chester A. "Buddy" Reed who died in 2009. Born in Niles, OH, daughter of the late Ralph Eugene and Ruth Custer Jenkins. She was a member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church of Gap. She taught at the Philadelphia Model and Charm School and went on to be the clothing buyer for Watt and Shand. Later she opened Doris Reed Fashion. She loved to entertain, fashion, cooking and gardening. June L. Martin, age 80, formerly of Peach Bottom, passed away at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown on Saturday, December 19, 2020.
She was the wife of the late Robert L. Martin, who passed away on May 2, 2006. She was born in Peach Bottom, daughter of the late John C. & Nila Groff Long. Mary Urusky,92, of Oxford, PA passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at home. She was the wife of the late Walter Urusky. Born in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Nick and Anna Basarabova Gic. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Oxford and the Gray-Nichols Post #1779 VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Oxford. She is survived by three sons, Thomas Urusky, Will Rusk and Walter N. Michael Urusky; two grandchildren, Christopher Urusky (Debbie) and Miles Cochran; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Matthew Urusky. William T. Fulton, Jr. 96, of Oxford, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather went home to be with his Lord on December 19, 2020 at Reading Hospital. He married Ella E. Melrath Fulton on June 18, 1947 with whom he shared 73 years of marriage. Born in Colora, MD, he was the son of the late William T., Sr., and Helen McVey Fulton. Bill graduated from Oxford High School, class of 1943. A proud US Army veteran, William served in central Europe during WWII as a member of the 17th Airborne Division. Bill was employed with NVF, Kennett Square for 42 years. In his younger days, Bill would rather play baseball than eat or sleep. His love for baseball and football continued all his life. He enjoyed following his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all of their sport endeavors. Listening to Blue Grass music and watching NASCAR were other enjoyments in his life. He loved working on the family farm. Sonia Ann Roumaniotis, 60, of Oxford, PA passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr, PA. She was the wife of Sotos Roumaniotis with whom she shared 28 years of marriage. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Myrtle Humen Sullivan. Sonia resided in Oxford for the last sixteen years. Formerly residing in various locations in both the US and Canada. She was graduating in May of 2021 with a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts from Lincoln University. Sonia was employed with Lincoln University as an administrative Assistant for sixteen years. She enjoyed her artwork and traveling. |
