Elizabeth J. “Sissy” Farmer, 52, of Drytown Road, Holtwood, PA died unexpectedly at her residence on Thursday, June 13, 2019 following a lengthy battle with rheumatoid arthritis. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Carl D. and Bessie Grace Evans Forrester, Sr. A selfless person throughout her life, she was deeply devoted to her family and grandkids. Grace Marie Dearden, 67, of Peach Bottom, entered into rest on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Hospice and Community Care, after a courageous 9-year battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Arthur P. Layfield and Dorothy (Danes) Solo. She was the loving wife of William F. “Bill” Dearden for over 49 years. Marie had been a cafeteria worker within the Solanco School District for many years. She enjoyed camping at Circle M Campgrounds and was a Kuala bear collector. She loved spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren. Deborah A. Amspacher, 64, died Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Harrison House in Christiana. She was the widow of Dean L. Amspacher who died April 11, 2011. Born in East Waterford, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul and Nora Zeigler Beaston. Elmer “Butch” Clifford Gray, Jr., 81, of Nottingham, PA passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at his home. Born in Wilmington, DE he was the son of the late Elmer C., Sr. and Sara McCann Gray. Elmer was a veteran of the US Air Force at Goodfellow AFB, Texas for six years. He retired from ICI and SPI after 30 years of service. Elmer was a member of the VFW Post 6027, North East, MD, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2666, Oxford, and was a lifetime member of the Moose Club. Mildred R. Hash (White), 97, of Quarryville, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019. Born in Ashe County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Casper and Cretty Jones Blevins. Mildred was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, needlework, doing her puzzles, and loved to cook and spend time with her grandkids. She was the wife of the late Charles White who passed away in 1991, and the late Robert Hash who passed away in 2003. Eva “Bootie” Butler Frampton Gallagher, 96, of Oxford passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the home of her daughter. Born in Cochranville, PA she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva Temple Butler. She was the wife of the late Roy Frampton and the late Freeland Gallagher. Eva was employed for many years at the National 5 & 10 in Oxford and the Nottingham School cafeteria. Eva enjoyed reading, doing sudoku puzzles and taking bus trips. Giovann Jamel “Gio” Green, 26, of York, entered into rest at his home on Thursday evening, June 6, 2019. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of Tim and Lashon Green-Glackin. After graduating from Towson High School, Gio attended Millersville and Towson Universities. He had worked as an assembler for Shadow Fax. Gio enjoyed bowling, WWE wrestling, playing UNO and Xbox, along with teaching people sign language. He enjoyed music and loved to dance and sing, but most of all, he loved to laugh and hang out with his family. Elmer “Butch” Clifford Gray, Jr., 81, of Nottingham, PA passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at his home.

Appel, 54, of Drytown Road, Holtwood PA passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She and her husband, Richard L. Appel celebrated 28 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of Joan Marie Bogert Byers and the late John Richard Byers, Sr. Julie had been employed as a baker at Millersville University and retired after 35 years of service. Betty Mae Combs, 74, of Woodside Drive, Kirkwood, passed away at her residence on Monday, June 3, 2019. She was the widow of David R. Combs who died December 26, 2014. Born in Chesapeake City, MD she was the daughter of the late Spencer and Laura Blevins Jones. Betty was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of Andrews Bridge Christian Fellowship. Betty enjoyed her family, spoiling her grandson, shopping with her sisters, and traveling with her husband until his passing. |
