William E. Buffington, 74, of Quarryville passed away on February 23, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer. He was born in Kirkwood to the late Joseph and Alice (Brown) Buffington. He had been a truck driver for 56 years, having worked for Fast Track Express in Rising Sun, and J. Earl Keys Trucking in Nottingham. He was a member of the Professional Rodeo Association as well as several other horse clubs. Bill was especially fond of his horse, Skeeter and his cat, Tasha. He is survived by a son, Jerry Buffington of Lancaster; a daughter, Michelle Buffington Kesler of Georgia; 5 grandchildren; a great grandchild; 2 sisters: June Arrowood and Beulah Benner and a brother, J. Beverly Buffington all of Oxford. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Arrowood of Oxford. Special thanks to a family caregiver and friend, Rhonda M. Ham of Parkesburg.
