Robert Marion Riley of Colora died September 25, 2015. He was 81. Born in Rising Sun on February 27, 1934, he was the son of the late Mattie and Phillip Riley. Mr. Riley worked at H.E. Shallcross and Sons for 43 years as a butcher and truck driver. The last part of his career, he drove a truck for Floral Plant Growers. He was an active member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He served as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon, Bible School Director and bus driver. Mr. Riley is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna Roten Riley; son, Robert Lee Riley and Melissa of Quarryville, Pa.; daughter, Anita Casteel and husband, Rick, of Colora; grandson, Jeremy Riley of Quarryville, Pa.; grandson, Shaun Riley and wife, Necca, of Mesa, Arizona; grandson, Brandon Casteel and wife, Elizabeth, of Fairfax, Va.; grandson, Justin Casteel of Elkton; grandson, Nathan Casteel and wife, Alexandra, of Colora; great grandson, Cody Riley of Quarryville, Pa.: great grandsons, Ryan and Charlie Casteel and Nathanial Good of Colora; great grandsons, Nicholas and Zachary of Fairfax, Va.; great granddaughters, Kayla Casteel and Annie Good of Colora; and sister, Mildred Potter of Seabrook, N.H..
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Smith and Dolly Riley. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 11 a.m., at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Rising Sun. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, September 29, 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., at the church prior to the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to Season’s Hospice or Ryan’s Birthday Party Event Fund through Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Comments are closed.
