Richard Oscar "Dick" Ewing, Sr. died at home Saturday, June 20, 2015. He was 90. Born in Bel Air, he was the son of the late William O. & Julia (Gray) Ewing. Mr. Ewing was a heavy equipment operator first having worked for over 42 years for Stancill's Inc. full-, then part-time as well as over 33 years at Edgewood Area and APG. He loved fishing and boating and over the years enjoyed being a foster parent. He is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Annabelle M. (Kraus) Ewing; daughter, Darlene Hamm and husband Jim of Bel Air; sons, Richard Ewing, Jr. and wife Tina of Rising Sun and Stephen D. Ewing, Sr. and wife Suzie of Colora; grandchildren, Jason Ewing and wife Karrie, Emily Felty and husband Matt, Stacy Zachry and husband Paul, Amy Hamm and Stephen, Ewing Jr; step grandchildren, William, Wesley, Aaron and Davey; great grandchildren, Leilani, Jada and Logan; step great grandchildren, Adam, Sebastian, Henry, Luke and Alex and his brother, William H. Ewing of Rising Sun. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, William O. and Donald Ewing. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home where a funeral service conducted by Rev. Joe Newsome will be held on Wednesday, June 23 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in West Nottingham Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Ewing, Jr., Jason Ewing, Stephen Ewing, Jr., Matt Felty, Paul Zachry and Jeff Kraus.
