Nestor Samuel Kline of Port Deposit died at home Saturday, February 20, 2016.. He was 89. Born March 29, 1926 in McClure, Pa., he was the son of the late Henry E. and Margaretta L. Wright Kline. Mr. Kline came to Maryland in 1950 from McClure. He worked for Mason Dixon Sand and Gravel until he went to work for Dick McDaniel’s Sand and Gravel. Then he worked for York Building Stewart Associates. He became superintendent for the Belvidere Plant on Belvidere Road until he retired in 1991. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II. Mr. Kline is survived by his wife of 67 years, Martha Arlene Wray Kline of Port Deposit; sons, Dallas Eugene Kline and Leonard Kline both of Port Deposi; two grandsons, Dennis Eugene Kline of Elkton and Dallas Samuel Kline of North East; four great-grandchildren, Matthew Steven and Dylan Samuel, Joshua Garrett and Nathan Parker; and brother, George E. Kline.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry W. Kline and David O. Kline; sisters, Dorothy Kauffman and Hazel Harker. As per his request, there will be no services.
