Mary Theresa Callanan of Port Deposit died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Christiana Care Hospital of Newark, Del. She was 54. Born June 24, 1961 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Frank and Betty Kemp Onorato of Baltimore. Mrs. Callanan was employed as a police officer by the Maryland Port Administration of Baltimore. She was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish and attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville. She is survived by her husband, Michael Callanan of Port Deposit; son, Michael Callanan, Jr., of Port Deposit; daughters, Sarah Callanan of Laurel, Collette Keane of Conowingo, and Mindi O’Neil of Reisterstown; five grandchildren; brothers, Frank Onorato and Steve Onorato, both of Baltimore; sisters, Joyce Rethemeyer of Baltimore, and Elaine George of Long Mont, Col.
Mrs. Callanan was preceded in death by her sister, Joellen Kretchmer. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, September 28, 11 a.m., at Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville. Visitations for family and friends will be held Sunday, September 27, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville. Father Jay McKee of Good Shepherd Parish will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in care of Lee A.
