Margie Ethel Madron died at home on Sunday, August 30, 2015. . She was 98. Born in Vivian, W.Va. on March 26, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Frazier and Fannie McPeak. Mrs. Madron worked many years at the Fawn Grove Manufacturing Company in Rising Sun until its closing. She was a long time member of the Rising Sun Church of Nazarene. Mrs. Madron enjoyed cake decorating, gardening, vegetables and flowers, quilting, sewing, cooking and canning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer S. Madron; daughter, Joyce Lee Gizzi; and grandson, Matthew J. Kirk.
Mrs. Madron is survived by her children, George Ellis Madron; daughter, Della May Perry and husband Claude Perry, Jr.; son, Homer Richard Madron and wife Debi; son, Neil Madron and wife Robin; daughter Diana Jill Kirk and husband Cecil Kirk, Jr.; son, Raymond P. Madron and wife Mary; son Roger E. Madron and wife Chris, all of Rising Sun; 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 4, at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at West Nottingham Cemetery.
