Lawrence W. Montgomery of Elkton died at home Sunday, November 23, 2014. He was 73. Born in Welch, W.Va., on September 21, 1941, he was the son of the late Lester and the late Gracie (Charles) Montgomery. He was a truck driver for Greggo & Ferrara. Mr. Montgomery was a member of Teamsters 367. He enjoyed NASCAR, football especially the Ravens, and listening to country music. He loved his dog “Baby Girl”. Mr. Montgomery is survived by his companion of 19 years, Debbie Jones of Elkton; six children, Gloria Pugh of Jacksonville, Fla., Glenda Adkins of Zanesville, Ohio, Tammy Jean Montgomery of Edgewood, Connie Jean Walsh of Elkton, Timothy Reed of Elkton, and Eden Hicks of Rockwood, Tenn.; a brother, Reese Montgomery of Quarryville, Pa.; six sisters, Cassie Wilkinson of Quarryville, Pa., Shirley Nichols of Conowingo, Carrie Nichols of Conowingo, Jeannie Briney of Bristol, Va., Ruby Harding of Wheeling, W.Va., Carol Rogers of Bristol, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time.
