Jay Dee Blevins died at Laurelwood Care Center, Elkton, on April 5, 2015. He was 90. He was born in Crumpler, N.C. on June 5, 1924. He graduated from Bel Air High School in 1943. Mr. Blevins was employed and later retired from Thiokol after 37 years. Afterwards, he sold real estate for Century Twenty-One and Long & Foster for several years. He enjoyed traveling, painting and wood working as hobbies. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Gifford Blevins of Rising Sun; a daughter, Judith Vanover and husband Randy of Henderson, Ky.; grandson, Tom Walker and family of Neuburgh, Ind.; and granddaughter, Daphne Gentry and husband Dakota of Henderson, Ky.; daughter, Rhonda Mohan and husband Tom, Pylesville. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Gifford, Rising Sun.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow services in Ebenezer UM Church Cemetery, Rising Sun.
