James M. "Mike" Abrams passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at home. Born on September 10, 1927, he was the son of James Cameron and Margaret Guiberson Abrams-Perry. He was a brother to Virginia L. Sincich and Wilmer Tuck Abrams. In the 1940’s, Mike played center field for Connie Mack’s Philadelphia Athletics until sidelined by an injury. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the founder of Abrams Service Station which first opened for business on April 8, 1948. Mike is survived by his wife, Eckie Crothers Abrams and 6 children. He also leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
