Henry Ross of Perryville died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at home. He was 81. Born in Scranton, Pa., on February 9, 1933, he was the son of the late Henry and the late Lucille (Curry) Ross. Mr. Ross served his country admirably in the US Navy. Prior to his retirement, he worked as the Director of the Newark Del. Parking Authority and as an accountant. He was a member of St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church, North East, where he served as an usher and a member of the 2:42 Club. He was also an Elk.
He enjoyed fishing but he most enjoyed the time he spent volunteering at the Perry Point VA Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Kay Ross; three children, Jennifer Dupilka of Bel Air, Michael D. Ross of Atlanta, Ga., Henry Ross of Idaho; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and his sister: Marian Love of Dumfries, Va. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Gwendolyn. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 1-1:45 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East. A funeral service, officated by Rev. Kathryn Costas, will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, 315 South Main Street, North East. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Anne’s Church or the charity of your choice, both in care of the funeral home. Comments are closed.
