Elaine Charlotte O’Leary Crane, 91 of Elkton, MD, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 14, 2014. Born in Allegheny, PA on February 21, 1923 and raised in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Owen Meredith and the late Christine (Ramburg) O'Leary. She was an active member of the Elkton and Newark Senior Centers, volunteered at Cecil Community College Theatre, was active in the Red Hat Society and was an Election Judge. She was a devote Catholic, attending Immaculate Conception Church, Elkton, MD.
Mrs. Crane is survived by eight children: Sallyanne Pelmear (John), Richard Crane (Pam), Nancy Crane, Henry Sanford Crane (Liza), Roxanne Crane, Donald Crane (Gwen) and Paula Austin (Paul); 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: John O'Leary (Pauline), Andy O'Leary and one sister: Maureen McLain (Eddie). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Dwight Crane; a son: Dennis Crane and her companion: Sam DeFonde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Immaculate Conception Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 am until service time. Father Paul Colloton, OSFS will officiate. Interment will be private. Comments are closed.
