Clara Bonita Eastridge, of Darlington, died at her home on Monday, January 27, 2014. She was 90. Mrs. Eastridge was born in Grassy Creek, NC, on May 6, 1923, daughter of the late Arthur Jackson and Isabel Garris West. She worked as a telephone operator for C&P Telephone Company and also worked at APG during the war. She loved to travel and also enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Mrs. Eastridge is survived by her sister, Katherine Chatham, of Darlington and a brother, Floyd G. West, of Williamsburg, Virginia; several nieces and nephews, as well as grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Garmon Eastridge and her son David. Friends can call at the R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. in Rising Sun on Friday, January 31 at 1 p.m. Services will be immediately following at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the Conowingo Baptist Cemetery.
