Charles Swan "Pop-Pop" Jackson, Jr., died at home Sunday, March 16, 2014. He was 69. Mr. Jackson was a hard working father and grandfather who had a quick wit could always steal a smile. He began his career as an Auto Body Technician at Sun Body Shop at an early age. He ran his own shop, “Jackson’s Auto Body”, before accepting a management position with McCoy Motor Company. He worked there for over 25 years before becoming Body Shop Manager at R.L. Jackson, Inc., in 1999. He was a lifelong resident of Rising Sun and member of Janes United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Ann (Dolly) Jackson of Rising Sun; sons, Charles Swan Jackson III and wife, Melissa, Timothy Paul Jackson and wife, Leanne, all of Rising Sun; daughter, Robin Ann Jackson and husband, Ken Thorne, of Roxboro, N.C.; three grandchildren, Charles Swan Jackson IV “Chip”, Samantha Paige Jackson and Timothy Paul Jackson, Jr. “LiLT”; and sister, Mildred Price. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann Kline. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014, 7 p.m., at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Pastor Harold Owens of Rising Sun, will officiate. Burial will be private. Comments are closed.
