Brenda L. Goff of Charlestown, formerly of Elk Mills, died at home Saturday, August 23, 2014. She was 68. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton on November 14, 1945, daughter of the late Edward James and Doris Charlotte (Jackson) Frederick. She was a member and prayer warrior for Five Rivers Church, Elkton. She was also a member of CBN, TBN, Messiah’s Mandate and had her own Greeting Card Ministry. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, Jeopardy! and cryptograms. She is survived by seven children, Russell Collins of Huntington Beach, Cal., Robert Goff of Bear, Del., Gary Goff of Elkton, David Goff of Colora, Candy Welch of Elkton, Jackie Bolte of Elkton, and Tammy Dowd of Charlestown; eight siblings, Dale Frederick of Elkton, Duane Frederick of Cecilton, Kevin Frederick of Cecilton, Darlene Terell of Elkton, Robbin Boroski of Elkton, Sherry Wren of Elkton, Kim Frederick of Cecilton, and Pam Fowler of Taber City, N.C.; 23 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two goddaughters, Linda Sizemore and Sharon Jones; and her two best friends, Ruthie Evans and Barbara Radcliff.
She was the wife of William Michael Goff who died Oct. 28, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Jake Frederick A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 2 p.m. from Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, where the family will receive guests on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Burial will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery.
