Benjamin Goodman of North East died Sunday, August 18, 2013 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun. He was 75. Born in New York, N.Y., on May 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Isaac Goodman and the late Mae (Levin) Goodman. Mr. Goodman served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Pharmaceutical Sales.
He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, selling at flea markets, watching the Ravens and Orioles play, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife: Phyllis Goodman, two daughters: Deborah Hall (Wes) of Baltimore, Amanda Lenardson (Paul) of Abingdon; and one son: Brian Goodman (Jean) of North East; and five grandchildren, Kalyn, Anthony, Ryan, Abby and Evan. A celebration honoring his life will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club at Rising Sun, 128 Karen Drive, Rising Sun, MD (casual dress).
