Aaron John Saldutti of Charlestown, formerly of Delaware County, Pa., died suddenly on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 after injuries sustained from a car accident. He was 31.
Mr. Saldutti lived to spend time with his friends and family. He was a stay at home father and enjoyed teaching his daughter his knowledge of the outdoors. He was a tattoo novice and avid Baltimore Ravens fan. He was a mechanic prior to being a stay at home father. Betty Marie Stewart Crawford of North East died Friday, November 21, 2014 at Christiana Hospital. She was 68.
She was born September 16, 1946, to the late Charles and Margaret Stewart. She was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker to her family. Carol Sue Perkins of North East died Thursday, December 11, 2014. She was 80. She was born in Oak Harbor, Ohio, to Harry and Olive (Bordeaux) Wheeler. Mrs. Perkins lived most recently at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center. Her talent as a singer was evident at an early age. She won vocal competitions throughout the Midwest and eventually came to Philadelphia to study at the Curtis Institute of Music. As a soloist and singer with gospel groups such as Voice of the Hills, Carol Sue became acquainted with Rev. George Palmer who enlisted her to sing at evangelistic meetings and on his daily radio program. Richard Eugene “Gino” Palmer of Elkton, died at home Friday, December 12, 2014. He was 76.
Born in North East on July 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha (Heverin) Palmer. He served in the Maryland National Guard and retired from Maryland Portable Concrete, where he worked as a truck driver. Mr. Palmer was a member of V.F.W. Post #6027, North East, and enjoyed bowling. Nick G. Notarcola of Rising Sun died at home December 11, 2014. He was 74.
Born July 27, 1940 in Havre de Grace, he was the son of the late Gaetano Notarcola and Yolanda (Rappaselli) Notarcola. He spent 23 years as a welder and Quality Control Inspector at Wiley Mfg. & Shipyard in Port Deposit. He retired as a sub-contractor at APG in Aberdeen. Ramonia Sue King of Rising Sun died at home December 10, 2014. She was 51. Born in Elkton on May 11, 1963, she was the daughter of Barbara Lewis Sadler. She received her degree in nursing from Cecil College and practiced as a registered nurse at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center and Abbey Manor Assisted Living. Mrs. King loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a special way of leaving a positive impact on everyone she met. She always saw the best in people and her smile and friendship had a way of touching your heart. She will be remembered for her compassion and devotion to her family. Jeanette Albanese of North East, formerly of Elkton, died Friday, December 12, 2014 in Union Hospital, Elkton. She was 76.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton, on January 28, 1938, the daughter of the late Frank Paul and Sara Jane (Butler) Albanese. James Richard “Dick” Sims, Sr. of Oxford, Pa. died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford. He was 83.
Born in West Grove, Pa., he was the son of the late James Paul and Florence Emily Bullock Sims. Mr. Sims lived in Oxford his entire life. He graduated from Oxford Area High School class of 1949. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Sims was employed with the Borough of Oxford as the water treatment plant operator. Michael John Coldiron, of Oxford, PA, died on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Jennersville Regional Hospital in West Grove, PA. He was 54.
Mr. Coldiron was born in Coatesville, PA, son of Lucille Carpenter Coldiron, of Oxford and the late John F. Coldiron. Rodney L. Sentman of Tavares, Fla., formerly of Port Deposit, died December 7, 2014, in Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care at Christiana Hospital. He was 86. He was born October 24, 1928, son of the late Maude Price Sentman and James L. Sentman, Sr. of Port Deposit. Mr. Sentman joined the Army Air Corp/Air Force in 1946. He spent his military career stationed in Japan from 1946 to 1949 and 1949 to 1952 in North Africa and 1952 to 1953 at Lockbourn Air Force Base Ohio. He received a Good Conduct Medal and The Pacific Theatre of Occupation of Japan Medal. He was honorable discharged in 1953 as a Tech Sergeant. |
