Mary Bell Snyder, 82 yrs, of Colora, MD, died Sunday, October 18, 2015 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born November 5, 1932 in Auto, WVA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ada Boyce Oliver.
Mrs. Snyder is survived by her sons, William R. Snyder, Robert W. Snyder and Alan D. Snyder, all of Rising Sun, MD; daughter, Susan G. McCracken of Rising Sun, MD; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Hazel Elsie Necessary, 85 of North East, MD, died Saturday, October 17, 2015 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD.
Born in TN, on May 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Dan and the late Mary Jane (Cody) Johnson. She was the wife of the late Harvey E. Necessary who died March 28, 2001. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Necessary worked at Kennettex, Kennett Square, PA. She enjoyed gardening and raising field trial dogs. Mary Maxine Ramsey of Rising Sun died Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Johns Hopkins Bay View Medical Center, Baltimore. She was 47.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton on October 30, 1967, daughter of the late John Louis Harvey who died in 2002 and the late Ruby Marie Harvey who died in 1969. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, her “Angels”. Dale Stanton, 64 of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton on January 29, 1951. Dale was a carpenter for Cecil County Government Maintenance Dept. He was a Master Carpenter for over 40 years. He was a black belt in the order of Isshin-Ryu Karate and enjoyed weightlifting and working out. He enjoyed watching the Eagles, riding 4 wheelers and camping. He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow. Helen L. Rowles of New Castle, Del., formerly of North East, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015. She was 73. Born in Nashville on February 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Mary (Nowland) Pinegar. Prior to her retirement, she worked for RMR, Elkton, and Lass Assembly, North East. She had also worked as a waitress. Nancy Lou Godin of North East died Sunday, October 11, 2015. She was 79.
Born in Baltimore on September 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Robert and the late Catherine (Maxwell) Hieronimus. Mrs. Godin enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, knitting, sewing, bowling and playing Bingo. Lawrence “Spanky” Tyson Bedyk of Elkton, MD, died at home Friday, October 9, 2015. He was 64.
Born in Wilmington, Del., on August 16, 1951, he was the son of the late Carl and Sue Bedyk. He worked as an automotive mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Iris Bedyk of Elkton; five stepchildren, Jamie Griffith of North East, Jennie Lambert of W. Va., Scott Rumge of Alabama, Matt Rumge of Alabama and Daniel Rumge of Port Deposit; and many grandchildren. Services will be private. Marty Clyde Holbrook of Elkton died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore. He was 54. Born in Gainesville, Fla., on September 9, 1961, he was the son of the late Johnnie Claude and Gladys Jane (Dunsmore) Holbrook. He was the owner/operator of Superior Concrete, Elkton. Mr. Holbrook enjoyed motorcycles, cars, fishing, boating and hunting, and spending time with his family. Dorothy Eva (Hanway) Loller of Elkton died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in the Elkton Transitional Care Center. She was 88.
Born in Chester County, Pa., on January 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Donald Earl and the late Eva Hannah (Moore) Hanway. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Loller worked as a file clerk for City Pharmacy, Elkton. Albert Lee Talley, Sr., 85, of Oxford passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of Georgianna M. Tuohey Talley with whom he shared 62 years of marriage on April 11, 2015. Born in Chadds Ford, PA at home on August 17, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank Day and Mary Ella Slawter Talley. He retired in 1992 as a heavy equipment operator from Operating Engineers Local #542. Albert enjoyed farming, bowling, gardening and most of all spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. |
