Mary Jane Neaves of Elkton died Saturday, August 3, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Del. She was 75.
She was born on February 14, 1938 in North East to the late Milford and Ada (Rockey) Wyre. Bonnie G. Pugh of North East died Tuesday, September 3, 2013. She was 67. Born in Elkton on June 24,1946, she was the daughter of the late Richard L. and the late Alice B. Gill. Mrs. Pugh served with the Maryland Forestry Service as a radio operator in the Black Hill Fire Tower. In later years, she helped support her husband’s business as the office manager of North East Electric, from which she retired in 2005. Joseph Albert Garrett of Chesapeake City died Friday, August 30, 2013. He was 44. Born in Philadelphia on August 28, 1969, he was the son of Joan (Sooy) Garrett of Bridgeton, N.J. and the late Robert Garrett. He was a forklift operator, who enjoyed fishing, crabbing, the Philadelphia Eagles, and most of all his time with his sons. John Gilbert Morris of Elkton died at home Sunday, September 1, 2013. He was 75.
Born in Baltimore on September 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Marion and the late Katherine (Zeller) Morris. Jerry Vance Greer of Newark, Del., died at home after battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia for 13 years. He was 69. Jerry was born in West Chester, Pa. on August 16, 1944 to the late Vance E. and Mae (Osborne) Greer. Mr. Greer graduated in 1962 from Kennett Consolidated High School in Kennett Square, Pa. He attended Goldey Beacom College and East Carolina University, and graduated in 1968 from the University of Baltimore with a degree in accounting. Kenneth Lynn Kammer, Sr. of Elkton died Thursday August 29, 2013 at Genesis Healthcare. He was 71. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. on February 7, 1942, he was the son of the late Fred and Valeria Mease Kammer. Mr. Kammer was a graduate of Germantown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1961-1965. After his discharge, he worked for Philadelphia Electric Co. as a pipefitter. He was foreman at Conowingo Dam when he retired in 1994. |
