Joyce Elaine Gatta of Rising Sun. She was 70. Born in Boothwyn, Pa. on August 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Katherine Lithgow Phillips. She was a homemaker, devoted to her family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and was talented at solving crossword puzzles.
Tonya Lynn Graham of Elkton died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at home. She was 34. A lifelong resident of Elkton, she was born on December 24, 1978. She is survived by her children, Kayla Graham and Brian Judge; her father and stepmother, David and Rebecca Graham; and six siblings, David Graham, Jr., Daniel Graham, Jonathan Graham, Lisa Grove, Kimberly Graham and Matthew Ward.
Ellis Dale Hornberger of Elkton, formerly of Perryville, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in Laurelwood Care Center, Elkton. He was 85. Born February 4, 1928 in Maryland he was the son of the late Frank B. and Ida Bristow Ryan Hornberger. Mr. Hornberger was formerly employed as an Armanent Maintenance Foreman/Mechanic Maintenance Supervisor by Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen.
Edith (Polly) Ann Bobbitt Patrick of Port Deposit died Friday, June 28, 2013. She was 72. Born December 12, 1940 in Independence, Va., she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Ola B. Bobbitt Cornett. Mrs. Patrick enjoyed gardening and flowers, loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and a hot cup of coffee any time night or day.
Larry “Juice” Dale Perry, Sr. of Perryville died at home Sunday, June 30, 2013. He was 76. Born September 24, 1936 in North Carolina he was the son of the late William Leyburn and Ora Medlin Perry. Mr. Perry was employed as a welder by the former Wiley Mfg. Company of Port Deposit. In addition, he was a truck driver for Mac Collette, Delmar Farmer, Donald Williams, Amtote and Electrical worker for Laurel and Pimlico Race Tracks.
Thomas Taylor Trussell of Warwick died at home July 2, 2013. He was 85. He was born in Baltimore, on June 12, 1928, the firstborn of Edward and Mary Virginia Siefers Trussell. He grew up in Western Maryland and attended school in the New Windsor area. He was always known to be a hard worker, taking on jobs to help support the family from a very young age. One of his first full-time jobs was at Martin Marietta during World War II as a cold riveter. He also served in the Army National Guard during war time.
Patricia Ann Kidwell Wagman of Perryville died at home Saturday, June 29, 2013. She was 65. Born February 2, 1948 in Matewan, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Columbia McCoy Kidwell. Mrs. Wagman was a graduate of Perryville High School Class 1965 and employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Perry Point, until her retirement in 2007.
Anthony John Sniadowski Jr. of Elkton died at home Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He was 82. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware, son of the late Anthony John Sniadowski and the late Anna Leyko Sniadowski. Mr. Sniadowski attended St. Stanislaus School and Salesianum School. He attended St. Francis High School in Athol Springs, N.Y., where he excelled in academics and athletics, earning a football scholarship to the University of Miami.
