Anna Naomi Hoover of Conowingo died at home September 23, 2015. She was 71. She was born in Baltimore in 1944 to an Irish mother and a Cherokee American Indian father. She attended St. Rose of Lima and Catholic High School before beginning her career with The Department of Defense in Ft. Meade. Mrs. Hoover was an avid reader and studied the mysteries of the metaphysical. She greatly enjoyed learning about the paranormal and was fascinated by ghost hunting and what lies ahead in the next life. She was fascinated with all things Egyptian. Mrs. Hoover also enjoyed traveling and boating on the Chesapeake Bay with her husband Lou; they both loved going to the Ocean or cruising Alaska to celebrate their anniversary. She also enjoyed being a caretaker to animals. She lobed all animals and gave homes to many strays.
Mrs. Hoover is survived by her children, John, Debra Ann, Jason-Louis and Brian-Louis, and her grandchildren, Alexis, Cara, Liam and Kate. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted (Theodore John) and Bertha and her husband, Officer Louis Weber Hoover, Jr. (retired Baltimore City Police Department), who died February 21, 2006 at the age of 61. ` Visitation for friends and family will be held at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, on Tuesday September 29 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Jude Mission Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, Wednesday September 30 at 11 a.m. with a cemetery service to follow immediately in the chapel of the Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 811 Rock Spring Road, Bel Air.
